Welcome to Derinya Basketball Club!
Our philosophy is to foster and promote the sport of basketball to all genders and to all grade levels in a fun, safe and inclusive environment. We aim to encourage kids to be active, make new friends and learn and grow from the benefits of participating in a team sport.
The Club has around 50 teams across all age groups from U8 to U16 and we participate in the Frankston District Basketball Association (FDBA) junior domestic competition.
Whilst we share our name with Derinya Primary School, we welcome anyone who wishes to play basketball!
Policies
Young people involved in sport have a right to participate in a safe and supportive environment.
Our Code of Conduct provides the basis for fair play for all young people and encourages fun, friends and safe environments. Derinya Basketball Club expects these codes will be adopted and endorsed by our Players, Coaches, Parents and Spectators.

Training Schedule and Venues
Welcome to Derinya Basketball Club! We have nearly fifty teams, each made up of up to 8 players, a volunteer coach, and a team manager. Each team trains weekly for 45 minutes, with sessions designed by the coach to improve various skills and ensure player involvement.
