Great question and one that comes up every season!
We always wear the yellow jersey for games unless we are playing another Derinya Team.
When two Derinya teams are playing whoever is listed at the top is to wear yellow and the bottom team listed is to wear Blue.
How are the seasons made up?
- There are 4 weeks of grading at the commencement of the season.
- Between grading and finals there are normal games scheduled between teams of the same division established during grading.
- The last 2 weeks of the season are made up of Semi Finals and Finals.
Winter season includes term 2 and term 3 of the school year; Summer season includes term 4 and term 1 of the school year. Each season begins with 4 weeks of grading games. Registration usually occurs in February for Winter season and July for Summer season.
Semi Finals are for age groups U10 and above.
Semi Final = 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd
Grand Final = Winner of Semi-Final 1 vs Winner of Semi-Final 2
U8 teams continue through playing normal games until the end of the season which coincides with the Finals.
Junior domestic competitions are split into various age brackets, consisting of Under 8s, 10s, 12s, 14s, 16s, 18s and 21s.
The birth date of the oldest player on the team determines what age bracket their team will fall into. The year level of the child is not taken into consideration, purely their DOB.

If you do not have any Coach or Team Manager registered this may result in missed communication relating to enrolment, training time preferences, training time/location allocations and other important information.
As soon as registrations open for the upcoming season Coaches and Team Managers should register. This also saves endless administrative hours for our volunteer committee members who have to chase up registrations and re-open registrations.
